Face Reading
Hyun Young Face Reading: A Long Oval Face and a Small Chin
At a glance
- Face shape: The face is oval-shaped and becomes narrower from the cheeks to the chin.
- Eyes: Because this is a group photo of Wonkyung, the details of the eyelids are not clear.
- Chin: The width of the lower jaw is narrower than the cheeks, and the tip of the chin is small.
Hyun Young shared her daily life through YouTube’s “Hyun Young’s Choice” in July 2026. This seven-step face reading explores Hyun Young's facial contours and features in public photographs.

The central theme of this profile of Hyun Young is a long oval face and a small chin. We examine the visible contours and placement of the features in seven steps, starting with the overall face shape and ending with how its lines and surfaces fit together.
Step 1: Face Shape — The Outline of the Cheeks and Jaw
Hyun Young, standing fourth from the left in the group photo, is wearing black clothing. The face is a vertical oval, and the width becomes narrower from the cheeks to the chin.
Even within the large oval frame, the width of the cheekbones and chin are not the same. If you follow the speed from the widest part of the face down to the tip of the chin, you can see changes in the outline that are not revealed by length alone.
Step 2: Forehead — Between the Hairline and Brows
The bangs cover most of the forehead, making the entire hairline invisible. It is difficult to judge the height of the forehead or the shape of the upper line just from this photo.
The end line of the bangs creates a new border on the upper part of the face. By distinguishing between the exposed space above the eyebrows and the space covered by the hair, you can avoid confusing the size of the forehead itself with the blank space created by the hairstyle.
Step 3: Eyes — Eyelid Curves and Horizontal Length

Because this is a group photo of a distant view, the details of the eyelids are not clear. Only the approximate position of both eyes can be confirmed in the front-facing face.
What can be seen in this photo is the large direction and arrangement around the eyes. Rather than zooming in to determine the small double eyelid line or the exact angle of the corner of the eye, it is better to look at the horizontal area that the eyes occupy within the face.
Step 4: Eyebrows — The Lines Above the Eyes
Because of the bangs and the resolution of the photo, the exact outline of the eyebrows is not clear. Do not determine the angle or thickness of the eyebrow tip.
The visible eyebrow pieces were not drawn to form the full eyebrow shape. If you look at the direction of the confirmed line and the gap between the eyes, you can distinguish between the border of hair or props and the actual eyebrows.
Step 5: Nose — The Central Line and Depth
The arrangement of the nose above the mouth is visible in the center of the face. However, because it is a distant photo, it is not possible to judge the height of the bridge of the nose or the small curve of the tip of the nose.
The tip of the nose and both nostrils are areas where small curved surfaces are gathered. If you look at the widening border on both sides instead of just looking at the bright side in the center, you can see the width that changes from the bridge of the nose to the bottom of the nose.
Step 6: Mouth and Chin — Expression and the Lower Face
Lips and Mouth Corners
A light smile is visible, but the detailed boundaries of the lips are not clear. Considering that this is a scene with facial expressions, the thickness of the lips is not determined.
Jawline and Chin
The width of the lower jaw is narrower than the cheeks, and the tip of the chin is small. The border between the neck and lower face exposed above the black collar can be distinguished.
When the mouth opens or the corners of the mouth rise, the width of the mouth and the space left up to the chin also change. If you look at the raised position of the cheeks and the tip of the chin together rather than just the lips, you can see the process by which a smile changes the ratio of the lower jaw.
Step 7: Overall Balance — A Long Oval Face and a Small Chin
The photo in this article is a group commemorative photo from the Gyeonggi-do Public Relations Ambassador appointment ceremony on May 20, 2024. Hyun Young stands fourth from the left. You can see the long oval outline and the small tip of the chin, but the portrait is too small to read the details of the eyebrows or lips.
Hyun Young's Facial Features at a Glance
- Face shape: The face is oval-shaped and becomes narrower from the cheeks to the chin.
- Eyes: Because this is a group photo of Wonkyung, the details of the eyelids are not clear.
- Chin: The width of the lower jaw is narrower than the cheeks, and the tip of the chin is small.
Together, these features show how the face's outer contour relates to the eyes and lower face. Looking at the connections between lines and surfaces helps explain the overall balance visible in this photograph.
