The central theme of this profile of Jessi is arched brows and full lips. We examine the visible contours and placement of the features in seven steps, starting with the overall face shape and ending with how its lines and surfaces fit together.

Step 1: Face Shape — The Outline of the Cheeks and Jaw

The width of the cheekbones and cheeks are revealed, and the chin becomes narrower downwards. There are many three-dimensional curved surfaces in the center and bottom of the face.

Even within the large oval frame, the width of the cheekbones and chin are not the same. If you follow the speed from the widest part of the face down to the tip of the chin, you can see changes in the outline that are not revealed by length alone.

Step 2: Forehead — Between the Hairline and Brows

The forehead is exposed between the ponytail and the hair falling to the side. The hairline on one side is covered.

You should look at the shape of the exposed part of the forehead and the hair on both sides. Since the parting and bangs are the lines that divide the upper margin, there is no need to immediately interpret the asymmetry seen in the photo as asymmetry of the forehead itself.

Step 3: Eyes — Eyelid Curves and Horizontal Length

The long drawn eye line emphasizes the direction of the corner of the eye. This is a photo where you have to look at the shape of the eyes and the border of the makeup.

The shape of the eye can be better revealed by dividing it into the horizontal length and vertical opening. The curve of the upper eyelid, the lower border, and the area that tapers to the corner of the eye combine to form a single outline.

Step 4: Eyebrows — The Lines Above the Eyes

The arch of the eyebrows is high and tapered at the ends. The curves above the eyes contrast clearly.

Eyebrows can be examined by distinguishing between the density of color and the curve of the line. By comparing the inner thickness and the direction of the outer edge with the eyelid line, you can see how the outline surrounding the eye is formed.

Step 5: Nose — The Central Line and Depth

The bridge of the nose is thin, and rounded surfaces are visible at the tip and nasal tip. Light gathers in the center of the nose.

The long bridge of the nose creates a central line that extends from between the eyes to above the lips. Comparing the narrow width of the bridge of the nose and the rounded surface of the tip, the parts that appear as lines and the parts that appear as surfaces can be distinguished within the same nose.

Step 6: Mouth and Chin — Expression and the Lower Face

Lips and Mouth Corners

Both the upper and lower lips are thick, and the upper teeth are visible when the mouth is opened. The outline of the lips is clear.

Jawline and Chin

The lower jaw narrows toward the tip of the chin and the tip is rounded. The volume of the cheek and the width of the lower face contrast.

When the mouth opens or the corners of the mouth rise, the width of the mouth and the space left up to the chin also change. If you look at the raised position of the cheeks and the tip of the chin together rather than just the lips, you can see the process by which a smile changes the ratio of the lower jaw.

Step 7: Overall Balance — Arched Brows and Full Lips

In Jessi's face, the long lines around her eyes and the thickness of her lips are emphasized in different ways. If you look at the border of the eye that has become clearer with makeup and the change in the width of the lower face, you can distinguish between styling and the role of the outline.

Jessi's Facial Features at a Glance

  • Face shape: The width of the cheeks and cheeks are revealed, and the chin becomes narrower downward.
  • Eyes: A long drawn eye line emphasizes the direction of the corner of the eye.
  • Chin: The lower jaw narrows toward the tip of the chin and the tip is rounded.

Together, these features show how the face's outer contour relates to the eyes and lower face. Looking at the connections between lines and surfaces helps explain the overall balance visible in this photograph.
