The central theme of this profile of Jung Yu-mi is an open forehead and clearly placed eyes. We examine the visible contours and placement of the features in seven steps, starting with the overall face shape and ending with how its lines and surfaces fit together.
Step 1: Face Shape — The Outline of the Cheeks and Jaw
The curves on both sides are gently oval-shaped, and the width decreases toward the chin. The flow of the outline is clearly visible from the front.
Even within the large oval frame, the width of the cheekbones and chin are not the same. If you follow the speed from the widest part of the face down to the tip of the chin, you can see changes in the outline that are not revealed by length alone.
Step 2: Forehead — Between the Hairline and Brows
The forehead is wide open with the hair swept to the side. The hairline is round and has clear boundaries on both sides.
You should look at the shape of the exposed part of the forehead and the hair on both sides. Since the parting and bangs are the lines that divide the upper margin, there is no need to immediately interpret the asymmetry seen in the photo as asymmetry of the forehead itself.
Step 3: Eyes — Eyelid Curves and Horizontal Length

Both the vertical and horizontal length of the eyes are revealed. The upper eyelids form a round arch and the corners of the eyes taper.
The shape of the eye can be better revealed by dividing it into the horizontal length and vertical opening. The curve of the upper eyelid, the lower border, and the area that tapers to the corner of the eye combine to form a single outline.
Step 4: Eyebrows — The Lines Above the Eyes
The eyebrows run horizontally leaving some thickness behind. A gently descending curve is visible at the end.
Eyebrows can be examined by distinguishing between the density of color and the curve of the line. By comparing the inner thickness and the direction of the outer edge with the eyelid line, you can see how the outline surrounding the eye is formed.
Step 5: Nose — The Central Line and Depth
The bridge of the nose runs straight from the center, and the tip of the nose has a rounded surface. The left and right widths of the nostrils are also revealed from the front.
The tip of the nose and both nostrils are areas where small curved surfaces are gathered. If you look at the widening border on both sides instead of just looking at the bright side in the center, you can see the width that changes from the bridge of the nose to the bottom of the nose.
Step 6: Mouth and Chin — Expression and the Lower Face
Lips and Mouth Corners
The center of the closed lips is thick and the curve of the upper lip is clear. The difference in height between the corners of the mouth is small.
Jawline and Chin
The tip of the chin becomes narrow, but a round width remains at the end. The connection between the lower jaw and cheek is smooth.
In a closed mouth, the curve in the center of the upper lip and the curved surface of the lower lip can be examined separately. Comparing the horizontal width of the lips to the width of the tip of the chin reveals how small lines and large outlines are placed within the lower face.
Step 7: Overall Balance — An Open Forehead and Clearly Placed Eyes
Below Jung Yu-mi's open forehead, the horizontal lines of the eyebrows and the round arches of the eyelids appear together. If you look at the smoothly narrow jawline and the lips that are thick in the center, you can see curves of different sizes within the large outline.
