The central theme of this profile of Kim Hye-soo is defined eyes and full lips. We examine the visible contours and placement of the features in seven steps, starting with the overall face shape and ending with how its lines and surfaces fit together.

Step 1: Face Shape — The Outline of the Cheeks and Jaw

The rounded sides of the cheeks and the small tip of the chin create an oval outline.

Even within the large oval frame, the width of the cheekbones and chin are not the same. If you follow the speed from the widest part of the face down to the tip of the chin, you can see changes in the outline that are not revealed by length alone.

Step 2: Forehead — Between the Hairline and Brows

One side of the forehead is opened with a side parting, and the other side is covered with short hair.

You should look at the shape of the exposed part of the forehead and the hair on both sides. Since the parting and bangs are the lines that divide the upper margin, there is no need to immediately interpret the asymmetry seen in the photo as asymmetry of the forehead itself.

Step 3: Eyes — Eyelid Curves and Horizontal Length

The eyes open wide and extend outward. The line of the upper eyelid is clear.

The shape of the eye can be better revealed by dividing it into the horizontal length and vertical opening. The curve of the upper eyelid, the lower border, and the area that tapers to the corner of the eye combine to form a single outline.

Step 4: Eyebrows — The Lines Above the Eyes

The eyebrows form a border above the eyes with long, gentle arches.

Eyebrows can be examined by distinguishing between the density of color and the curve of the line. By comparing the inner thickness and the direction of the outer edge with the eyelid line, you can see how the outline surrounding the eye is formed.

Step 5: Nose — The Central Line and Depth

The bridge of the nose is relatively straight, and the tip of the nose has a rounded surface.

The tip of the nose and both nostrils are areas where small curved surfaces are gathered. If you look at the widening border on both sides instead of just looking at the bright side in the center, you can see the width that changes from the bridge of the nose to the bottom of the nose.

Step 6: Mouth and Chin — Expression and the Lower Face

Lips and Mouth Corners

The upper and lower lips of a closed mouth have volume and the corners of the mouth are raised.

Jawline and Chin

The lower jaw is gently narrowed and the tip of the chin is rounded.

In a closed mouth, the curve in the center of the upper lip and the curved surface of the lower lip can be examined separately. Comparing the horizontal width of the lips to the width of the tip of the chin reveals how small lines and large outlines are placed within the lower face.

Step 7: Overall Balance — Defined Eyes and Full Lips

The composition of Kim Hye-soo's face is revealed when clearly defined areas such as the eyes and lips are viewed together. If you look at the curves of the facial features and the outline of the lower face, you can avoid lumping the central details and outer frame into one line.

  • Face shape: The round cheeks and the small tip of the chin create an oval outline.
  • Eyes: The eyes open wide and extend outward.
