The central theme of this profile of So Yoo-jin is rounded cheeks and a wide smile. We examine the visible contours and placement of the features in seven steps, starting with the overall face shape and ending with how its lines and surfaces fit together.
Step 1: Face Shape — The Outline of the Cheeks and Jaw
There is a round volume in the cheekbones and cheeks, and it gradually narrows towards the chin. The sides of the face are curved rather than straight.
The angled part does not mean that the entire face is square, but it means that the section where the direction of the curve changes is visible. If you follow the line that goes down from the side of the cheekbones to the lower jaw, the difference between the straight section and the round section is revealed.
Step 2: Forehead — Between the Hairline and Brows
The diagonal bangs cover most of the forehead. This photo does not show the full height of the forehead.
The end line of the bangs creates a new border on the upper part of the face. By distinguishing between the exposed space above the eyebrows and the space covered by the hair, you can avoid confusing the size of the forehead itself with the blank space created by the hairstyle.
Step 3: Eyes — Eyelid Curves and Horizontal Length

When smiling, the eyes narrow and round lines appear on the lower eyelids. The corners of the eyes also rise with a smile.
In photos with facial expressions, the vertical width of the eyes and the height of the cheeks below the eyes change. If you look at the curve of the lower eyelid rather than just looking at one point at the corner of the eye, you can read the movement of the center of the face more specifically.
Step 4: Eyebrows — The Lines Above the Eyes
The eyebrows are partially obscured by the bangs. The visible ends of the eyebrows are gently descending.
The visible eyebrow pieces were not drawn to form the full eyebrow shape. If you look at the direction of the confirmed line and the gap between the eyes, you can distinguish between the border of hair or props and the actual eyebrows.
Step 5: Nose — The Central Line and Depth
The tip of the nose is round and the nostrils naturally connect to both sides. The lighting creates a bright area in the center of the nose.
The tip of the nose and both nostrils are areas where small curved surfaces are gathered. If you look at the widening border on both sides instead of just looking at the bright side in the center, you can see the width that changes from the bridge of the nose to the bottom of the nose.
Step 6: Mouth and Chin — Expression and the Lower Face
Lips and Mouth Corners
A smile that shows the upper teeth emphasizes the horizontal direction of the face. The corners of the mouth and cheeks rise together.
Jawline and Chin
The tip of the chin is short and rounded. The jaw lines on both sides are seamlessly connected to the curve of the cheeks.
When the mouth opens or the corners of the mouth rise, the width of the mouth and the space left up to the chin also change. If you look at the raised position of the cheeks and the tip of the chin together rather than just the lips, you can see the process by which a smile changes the ratio of the lower jaw.
Step 7: Overall Balance — Rounded Cheeks and a Wide Smile
So Yoo-jin's face is notable for the areas under the eyes, cheeks, and corners of the mouth that change together when she smiles. A horizontal line of the smile appears within the outline extending from the round cheeks to the chin, making the width at the bottom appear different.
So Yoo-jin's Facial Features at a Glance
- Face shape: There is round volume in the cheeks and cheeks, and it gradually narrows towards the chin.
- Eyes: When smiling, the eyes narrow and round lines appear on the lower eyelids.
