T.O.P Face Reading: An Open Forehead and an Angular Profile
At a glance
- Face shape: In a face turned to the side, the angles of the cheekbones and chin are distinct.
- Eyes: Colored glasses surround the eyes, obscuring the exact shape of the eyelids.
- Chin: The angle of the lower jaw and the protruding chin tip create a lateral outline.
T.O.P released a solo studio album, Multiple Perspectives, in April 2026. This seven-step face reading explores T.O.P's facial contours and features in public photographs.

The central theme of this profile of T.O.P is an open forehead and an angular profile. We examine the visible contours and placement of the features in seven steps, starting with the overall face shape and ending with how its lines and surfaces fit together.
Step 1: Face Shape — The Outline of the Cheeks and Jaw
In a face turned sideways, the angles of the cheekbones and chin are distinct. The area under the cheek becomes narrower and width remains at the tip of the chin.
In this composition, the border from one cheek to the chin is clearly revealed rather than the width of both sides of the face. By connecting the outer line of the cheekbones and the bending point of the chin, you can distinguish between the width of the face and the depth of the sides.
Step 2: Forehead — Between the Hairline and Brows
Lift your head up and your forehead will be revealed. The boundary between the hairline and the sides of the head is clear.
In compositions where the forehead is exposed, you can see a wide area extending from the hairline to the eyebrows. Comparing the direction of the upper curve and the lower eyebrows makes it clear what lines surround the upper part of the face.
Step 3: Eyes — Eyelid Curves and Horizontal Length

Colored glasses cover the area around the eyes, obscuring the exact shape of the eyelids. The frames emphasize the horizontal lines around the eyes.
The circles or straight lines on the glasses frame overlap the actual outline of the eyes. You can examine the horizontal direction of the eye by following only the exposed eyelids and outer corners of the eyes, excluding the frames, but it is difficult to measure the size beyond the lens in precise proportions.
Step 4: Eyebrows — The Lines Above the Eyes
Some of his dark eyebrows are visible above his glasses. The thickness of the exposed inner part of the eyebrow is revealed rather than the curve of the entire eyebrow.
The visible eyebrow pieces were not drawn to form the full eyebrow shape. If you look at the direction of the confirmed line and the gap between the eyes, you can distinguish between the border of hair or props and the actual eyebrows.
Step 5: Nose — The Central Line and Depth
From the side, the bridge of the nose falls straight and the tip of the nose protrudes. The bridge of the glasses and the bridge of the nose overlap closely.
The shape of the center is revealed only when the line of the prop overlapped on the nose is differentiated from the actual bridge of the nose. In this composition, the part where the uncovered tip of the nose connects to the nasal tip shows the width of the lower part of the nose.
Step 6: Mouth and Chin — Expression and the Lower Face
Lips and Mouth Corners
A closed mouth has a clear center of the upper lip and volume in the lower lip. The outline of the mouth is relatively clear.
Jawline and Chin
The angle of the lower jaw and the protruding chin tip create the lateral outline. The jawline is clearly separated from the neck.
In a closed mouth, the curve in the center of the upper lip and the curved surface of the lower lip can be examined separately. Comparing the horizontal width of the lips to the width of the tip of the chin reveals how small lines and large outlines are placed within the lower face.
Step 7: Overall Balance — An Open Forehead and an Angular Profile
In TOP's photo, the exposed forehead and part of the dark eyebrows visible above the glasses divide the upper part. If you look at the side of the nose and lower jaw together instead of the eyelids covered by glasses, the connection between the protruding central line and the angled lower face is clear.
T.O.P's Facial Features at a Glance
- Face shape: In a face turned to the side, the angles of the cheekbones and chin are distinct.
- Eyes: Colored glasses surround the eyes, obscuring the exact shape of the eyelids.
- Chin: The angle of the lower jaw and the protruding chin tip create a lateral outline.
Together, these features show how the face's outer contour relates to the eyes and lower face. Looking at the connections between lines and surfaces helps explain the overall balance visible in this photograph.
